12 Days Till Christmas

Twelve Days till Christmas. That seems impossible. The stockings are being hung, Santa is checking his list and the malls are packed with holiday shoppers. I hope you’ve been using the Christmas writing prompts I created, and that you’re enjoying them like I am. I also wanted to share my own original poems on these 12 days leading up to Christmas. I’m doing this partly because it’s easy to show them to people without having to see people read them, and I’m trying to get over the fear of sharing my poems.

My writing is one thing to share, but poems are not my strongest area and I want to improve them. I think the first step is to get over the idea of them having to be perfect and just share them as is.

12 Days Till Christmas

The malls are crowded

And so are the schedules,

But 12 days aren’t that long.

Will I be able to fit it all in?

All I picture in my mind,

All the magic of Christmas

Packed into these last 12 days.

But maybe, just maybe

I can make these 12 days stretch

And feel like more with a little

Christmas magic…
